Although the shame should rest with my abuser, I internalized it and developed a deep-seated aversion to myself. Each morning, I would ruminate over past mistakes, engaging in a cycle of self-criticism.

After eight days of focused tapping, while those feelings lingered, their intensity diminished, paving the way for self-love and compassion to flourish.

To genuinely love others, we must first love ourselves.

Do you find yourself being overly critical? Are you more unforgiving towards yourself than you would be to others? Take a step today towards embracing self-love. Start by affirming, "I am enough," while tapping on each acupressure point as demonstrated below. Tap seven or eight times on each point before transitioning, and conclude with a deep breath. Incorporate this practice each morning and notice how your self-perception begins to shift.
