I embarked on my writing journey in late November and soon discovered that raising my view count on Medium was entirely feasible, even for someone just starting out. The foundation of my success hinges on three main strategies, which I elaborated on in my earlier article:

First, let me share an update on my 30-day experiment abstaining from AI-generated content. The findings indicate that original, human-written pieces—even those with minor grammatical errors—carry far more weight on Medium compared to AI-produced content. Now, let’s return to the topic of increasing views.
Midway through my efforts, Medium updated the layout of its statistics page, which threw me off at first. However, the revamped page ultimately offers a clearer overview of my monthly view progress, allowing me to track my growth effectively. Initially resistant to change, I am now appreciating the aesthetic improvements.
Chapter 2: Tracking Progress
In November, I recorded over 500 views. At that time, I wasn’t fully focused on my metrics, but this journey has made me realize how crucial views are and that they can indeed be increased. In the last week of November, I noticed a surge in views, particularly as I began producing AI-free content and engaging more consistently.
By December, I had accumulated around 900 views. With just a few days left in the month, I aim to push that number a bit higher. Almost doubling my views from the previous month, I’m determined to keep this momentum going into the next year!
Authors Note: It’s important to mention that the days surrounding Christmas typically see lower activity on Medium, which may have affected my views. The holiday season often results in decreased traffic, so considering this seasonal dip, my growth from November to December is even more impressive.
