Chapter 1: Beyond the Typical Tips
Forget the mundane advice that you've grown weary of reading.

This piece isn't merely a list of tips designed to compete for your attention or sell you an illusion. My aim is to provide genuine value. Unlike typical list articles, this writing may not appeal to everyone, as not all individuals identify as writers or readers.
Some assert that everyone has the potential to write, but the truth is more nuanced. There are those who actively write, those who aspire to write, and those who have little interest in it, which is perfectly acceptable.
As someone who garners around three million views each month, I’d like to share my most impactful writing insights.
The key to success is simple: trust your intuition.
“Individuals must realize they possess all the tools within themselves. Self-awareness encompasses understanding your body, mental space, and relationships—not only with others but with life and the environment.” — Deepak Chopra
This connection with your inner self will enrich your storytelling and shape your unique voice, which many struggle to discover. Often, writers resort to mechanical techniques instead. Ultimately, this awareness fosters a deeper bond with your soul.
Interestingly, the inspiration for this article came to me during my yoga practice today. I promptly emailed it to myself to avoid forgetting it. The choice to write authentically, rather than conform to conventional formats, struck me as I began typing.
What to write about shouldn’t be a source of stress.
Consider this: if you’re alive, you possess stories—new experiences each day, along with memories and lessons from your past. Those experiences are stories waiting to be told.
Instead of fretting, simply contemplate and brainstorm. Keep a repository for your ideas to prevent losing them. I often find myself losing inspiration in the shower, during workouts, or just before sleep, convinced I’ll remember them, only to forget.
However, I suspect your anxiety isn’t about what to write but rather about:
Getting it right.
You aim to:
- Build an audience
- Gain more followers
- Increase your views
- Monetize your efforts
In this pursuit, we often disconnect from what truly matters. We become uncertain about our writing focus, niche, or audience engagement because we’re fixated on results.
The answers reside within, yet you might not be writing from that deeper place of authenticity. Instead, you may be writing solely to achieve perfection.
Let me clarify—perfection is unattainable.
There’s nothing extraordinary about any of my popular content. I simply share stories and disregard conventional wisdom. My LinkedIn features travel-related posts, while other platforms showcase articles on the creator economy and personal growth. Ultimately, my goal is to assist others in leading healthier, happier lives, regardless of the path taken.
Once you comprehend your purpose, the "how" becomes more manageable.
If you're writing online, it’s fundamentally about showing up consistently. I still recall the early days filled with rejection. My submissions were often deemed unworthy by online publications, and freelance clients frequently overlooked my portfolio in favor of others.
Imagine dedicating yourself to online writing with dreams of transforming your life—ambitions you hesitate to share, knowing others may deem them unrealistic. You work tirelessly before and after your job, absorbing knowledge whenever possible, only to face rejection after rejection for months.
Eventually, I grew desensitized to the rejections.
My final advice is to write from the heart and persist. The online landscape may seem like an effortless way to earn a living, as many portray it.
While it can be a rewarding life, it demands a commitment that few are willing to make in an age of instant gratification.
“Commit to your decisions but remain adaptable in your methods.” — Tony Robbins
Your success hinges on showing up—even during difficult times. Keep your vision clear and your motivation strong.
Understand your reasons for writing and delve inward. That’s where your inspiration and answers reside. Remarkably, this inner space is always available to assist you when you feel stuck.
You are your greatest asset.
