Despite the limited output, I was able to earn $18.57 from those three stories. This was quite remarkable, considering my account was new and my engagement on the platform was minimal.

The fact that I earned $18 from only three pieces felt almost surreal for a newcomer. Reflecting on my previous experience when I first joined Medium, I remember how unrealistic such earnings seemed at the time.

If you’re a new writer who feels uncertain about your investment of time, I want to reassure you: you’re not wasting your time. There’s immense potential waiting to be tapped.

For those without much experience, I recommend committing to Medium for six months. After that period, evaluate your progress and decide if you wish to continue or move on. It’s crucial to give yourself enough time to gain insight and understanding of the platform.

Experience is the best teacher, and it’s essential to invest time wisely to see results. Many writers on Medium are earning substantial incomes, often starting their journeys a year or more before. Remember that if you begin today, in a year, you could also be reaping the rewards.

Time flies, so don’t hesitate. Start now, and in the future, you’ll be grateful for taking the initiative today. I firmly believe that with dedicated effort and smart time management, you won’t find yourself in the same position a year from now.
