I knew my messages were public, but I never imagined they’d attract such interest. I usually aim for humor or slight inappropriateness, depending on the recipient. Given that Venmo is rather silly, I often find myself sending payments for my wife’s expenses—like her nail appointments—which adds an extra layer of amusement when those unfamiliar with me get a glimpse of my quirky messages.
